Emergency Planning
In light
of recent prolific flooding and the ongoing threat of
terrorist activity, the
continual increasing demands on first and second line
emergency support agencies to be prepared for a wide range
of incident types, has led Imass to design a solution which
provides a simple, fast, efficient and flexible way of
creating and utilising emergency plans in demanding
environments.
STEPS
(Strategic Emergency Planning Solution) satisfies the
demand for an emergency planning tool in support of
emergency response and real-time visualisation of mobile
resources. STEPS has
been developed for either stand-alone or
multi-agency response.
It
enables organisations to create plans that deal with
various levels of dynamic emergencies, whether foreseen or
unforeseen. These plans provide valuable information in
support of responses to incidents, ranging from everyday
events to natural disasters and terrorist activities.
Plans can
be generated in such a way as to include and integrate
multi-agencies response details that may be required to
resolve a crisis. It is essential that co-ordinated
arrangements are in place with other authorities and
organisations to effectively manage the incident.
